About The Position
Job Title : Surgical Tech Job Specialty : OR Tech Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Night - 4x10 - 8 : 00 PM to 6 : 00 AM, Monday to Thursday, call included Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week Experience : Minimum 2 years License : Not required for submission Certifications : BLS, COVID Vaccine Required Must-Have : Strong experience with total joints, general, vascular, & spine Job Description : Provide support in the Operating Room under the supervision of a Clinical Supervisor, OR Director, and OR Manager.
- Work with a 1 : 1 staffing ratio.- Utilize Cerner Surginet for Electronic Medical Records.- Participate in weekend call coverage approximately once a month from end-of-shift Friday to 6 : 30 AM Monday.
- Handle various case types including cardiac, orthopedic, general / vascular, neuro / spine, ENT, and trauma, excluding transplants.
- Scrub color provided by the hospital.- Shifting types include 8-hour shifts (6 : 30 AM - 3 : 00 PM), 10-hour shifts, and 12-hour shifts with mids starting at 9 : 00 AM or 10 : 45 AM.
- Complete a floor-specific orientation with a preceptor for one shift.- Work involves cases in CVOR such as CABG, valve surgeries, pacemaker insertions, and lung cases;
Main OR includes ortho, general / vascular, neuro / spine, and trauma cases.- Be part of a proactive health care team with resources such as a 24 / 7 Respiratory Therapist and Pharmacy.
- Participate in a flexible rescheduling model where the hospital may cancel up to three times per contract, either entirely or partially.
