JOB TITLE : Tech - Multi Modality (FT)

Performs a variety of technical procedures which may include : M.R.I., CAT

Scan, Routine Radiography and Angiography. The Tech - Multi Modality should be

proficient in two areas, including Radiography.

Key Performand Functions and Responsibilities :

The Tech - Multi Modality will comply with approved standards in patient

safety, radiation protection, infection control and environment control.

Provide an environment conducive to safety and comfort of patients, staff and

visitors. Utilizes the appropriate leadership skills in supervising students

and providing feedback concerning their performance. Has the ability to train

fellow technologists in their particular modality. Has communication and

problem resolution skills and is a professional role model.

Qualifications

E DUCATION, TRAINING, EXPERIENCE AND LICENSESREGISTRATIONS REQUIRED :

• Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• Current certified radiology tech license in the State of Texas and maintained throughout employment
• BLS from the American Heart Association (or obtained during orientation) and maintain certification throughout employment

PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS :

• Ability to read and write in English
• Ability to speak and hear, to allow discussions with employees and peers
• Ability to cope with and remain calm under stress
• Dosimetry badge must be worn at all times
• Ability to evaluate and interpret information and make independent decisions
• Bending and lifting (50-75 lbs), grasping, fine hand coordination, pushing and pulling
• Electrical and radiant energy hazards are present
• Ability to respond to pages
• Near visual acuity and depth perception to examine exposed film for pertinent detail
• Lead protective gloves, and apron must be worn during certain procedures
