About The Position
Weekly Pay Range - $2256 To $2506(4) Friday 3p-11p, , Sunday 7 : 30a-7 : 30p, Monday 3p-11p(additional time may be available)Job Summary : Position patient on examining table and place specified coil (receiver) such as head coilor knee coil close to area of interest, following protocols requested by RadiologistDemonstrate use of microphone that allows patient and technologist to communicateduring examinationEnter data such as patient history, anatomical area to be scanned, orientation specified,and position of entry into aperture of MRI equipment into computerKey commands to specify scan sequences and adjust transmitters and receivers intocomputerObserve patient through window of control room and on closed circuit TV to monitorsafety and comfortView images of areas being scanned on video display screen to ensure quality ofpicturesKey in data on keyboard of camera to photograph imagesAlert staff entering magnet room to the danger of wearing or carrying metal aroundmagnetOther duties as assignedEducation / Experience : 1-3 years’ experience as MRI TechnicianGraduate of Accredited Radiology ProgramCritical thinking skills, decisive judgement and ability to work with minimal supervisionExcellent communication skillsGood working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word and ExcelAbility to read and interpret documentsAbility to work independentlyCertifications & Licensure : NJ State RT LicenseMR CertifiedBLS CertificationCovid Vaccination Required : The primary vaccine series plus at least one booster ORThe Bivalent COVID vaccine that was first offered in September 2023 ORThe 2023-2024 Monovalent COVID vaccine
