Senior Process Engineer / Project Manager

Detailed Description :

The Industrial Water (IW) Senior Process Engineer / Project Manager (SPE / PM) will work closely with the IW process Subject Matter Specialist (SMS) to learn the different industries BC work in.

The SPE / PM will lead process design, evaluate alternate process train and recommend the best solution for our clients.

The SPE / PM will work on pursuits as well as projects. The SPE / PM will also work with junior engineers, mentor and train them.

The SPE / PM will manage projects and deliver them on time and within budgets. Goal is for the SPE / PM to grow and develop the IW Service Line and business through the application of knowledge and expertise in the field of water and wastewater engineering, client services and project management.

The SPE / PM will also collaborate with Design Services and Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) Services depending on the types of project and pursuits.

Job Expectations :

• Accountable for the performance and results of :
• Sr. Process Engineering and / or Project Management of water and wastewater consulting and design projects for industry clients
• Other IW projects assigned as PM
• Active business and risk manager capable of successfully planning and executing projects as SPE / PM.
• Provide leadership, direction, coaching to project team members.
• Deliver the BC experience to employees by providing guidance and coaching staff and ensuring timely / meaningful feedback is given to support career development and progression.
• Deliver the BC experience to clients by acting as a trusted advisor.
• Demonstrate expert critical thinking, accountability, collaboration, communication, self-discipline, self-development, conflict resolution and adaptability / flexibility skills.
• Work in and contribute to all areas of the IW business (business development, technology and project delivery).
• Lead and create sustainable project delivery capabilities for the service line including recruiting and hiring of staff to accommodate the growth of the business.
• Develop personal relationships with strategic client’s key personnel.

Desired Skills and Experience :

• Minimum BS in science or engineering
• Preferred MS in engineering
• Preferred PE registration
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in engineering and project management
• Understanding of water and wastewater treatment processes
• Biological treatment technology experience
• Physical chemical treatment technology experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• High level of emotional intelligence

Salary Range : The anticipated starting pay range for this position is based on the employee’s primary work location and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education.

These ranges may be modified in the future.

Location A : $103,000 - $141,000

Location B : $114,000 - $155,000

Location C : $124,000 - $169,000
