Why Mozilla?

Mozilla Corporation is the non-profit-backed technology company that has shaped the internet for the better over the last 25 years.

We make pioneering brands like Firefox, the privacy-minded web browser, and Pocket, a service for keeping up with the best content online.

Now, with more than 225 million people around the world using our products each month, we’re shaping the next 25 years of technology and helping to reclaim an internet built for people, not companies.

Our work focuses on diverse areas including AI, social media, security and more. And we’re doing this while never losing our focus on our core mission to make the internet better for people.

The Mozilla Corporation is wholly owned by the non-profit 501(c) Mozilla Foundation. This means we aren’t beholden to any shareholders only to our mission.

Along with thousands of volunteer contributors and collaborators all over the world, Mozillians design, build and distribute open-source software that enables people to enjoy the internet on their terms.

About this team and role :

  • Lead and own the Design and User Journey : Be responsible for everything from sketches to prototypes to high-fidelity designs.

You should feel comfortable not just defining the product vision alongside your product and engineering peers, but making that vision a reality.

  • Advocate for the User : Be a voice and champion for your users throughout every step of the design process.
  • Continuous Learning : Stay current with industry trends and standard methodologies to improve the design process and product quality continually.
  • Mentorship : Mentor designers and lead by example to uplevel design thinking at Mozilla.

What you’ll bring :

  • You have a proven track record to design intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces.
  • You have a strong command of customer discovery, hypothesis validation, and rapid user testing approaches.
  • You have strong fluency in modern design and prototyping tools and can build annotated and detailed mock-ups from low-fidelity to pixel perfect designs, landing pages, and even the occasional ad.
  • You've balanced user experience, business needs, technical feasibility, and time-to-market to determine the best product design
  • You can communicate clearly about your designs at the idea phase through the development phase and can advocate for your decisions.
  • You love working in a fast-paced environment, improving your leadership and design skills, and believe that design is important to any product's success.
  • You can work efficiently with a geographically distributed team.
  • Commitment to our values :
  • Welcoming differences
