Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

We are seeking an experienced and skilled ICU RN to join a respected healthcare facility in Albemarle, NC.

Details :

• 36 hours per week
• 13-week assignment
• 3x12 hour night shifts

Key Responsibilities :

Perform stroke assessments (NIHSS) and provide care for post-stroke patients, including TNK administration (if not given in ED)

Interpret cardiac rhythms and monitor patients with ART lines and CVPs

Administer and titrate critical care drips and manage chest tubes

Provide respiratory support including vent management (RT manages settings) and trach care

Perform PIV starts, NGT placement, wound care, and manage a variety of drains and tubes (Dobhoff, PEG tubes, Hemovac, JP drains, flexiseals, foleys, etc.)

Operate PCA pumps and complete 12-lead EKGs, including STAT orders

Requirements :

Current RN license in North Carolina (or compact state) Required

BLS, ACLS and NIHSS certification Required

Minimum of 18 months to 2 years of ICU RN experience Required

Strong critical care skills including stroke management, cardiac monitoring, and advanced patient care procedures Required
