Job Summary :
The Automotive Mechanic / Technician at Firestone Jackson will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks in the maintenance and repair of vehicles.
This is a full-time or part time, individual contributor role located in Jackson Township, New Jersey.
The successful candidate will be a skilled mechanic with experience in the auto industry and will work with a team of technicians to diagnose and repair vehicles to the highest standard.
Compensation & Benefits :
This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $16 to $30 per hour and will be paid weekly.
Responsibilities :
- Perform routine and scheduled maintenance on vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, alignments, and fluid checks, brakes.
- Diagnose and repair various automotive issues, such as engine, transmission, and electrical problems, AC & Heat problems.
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately identify and troubleshoot issues.
- Perform quality control checks to ensure repairs are completed to the highest standard.
- Keep detailed records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
- Communicate with customers to explain repairs and provide recommendations for future maintenance.
- Keep work area clean and organized to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
- Continuously update knowledge and skills through training and education.
Requirements :
- Minimum of 1 years of experience as an automotive mechanic / technician.
- Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
- Extensive knowledge of automotive systems and components.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Must have own tools and be able to use diagnostic equipment.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
