Reputable Broker Dealer client is seeking a strong accounting manager to join in their Accounting and Finance department to oversee the Expense Control and Accounts Payable team.
The Manager will be responsible for managing a full-cycle accounts payable process, expense-related accounting entries, and ensuring timely and accurate monthly close processes.
This role also involves forecasting expenses, managing vendor relationships, and maintaining compliance with regulatory filings.
Key Responsibilities :
Lead and manage the Expense Control team of 5 members, overseeing their daily tasks and performance.
Oversee and manage the entire accounts payable cycle, including the review of invoices, expense reimbursement reports, and payment processing.
Handle communication with vendors and internal colleagues regarding inquiries on invoices, payables, and expense accounting.
Supervise the monthly accounting close for the expense control team, reviewing and approving monthly accruals, reversals, and amortization entries.
Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations, focusing on prepaid accounts, accounts payable accruals, and tax withholding accounts.
Analyze and forecast the organization's expenses, ensuring financial accuracy and providing insights.
Review and manage IRA / TEFRA withholding payments and ensure compliance with quarterly and annual federal / state filing requirements.
Experience and Skills Required :
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited university.
CPA certification is required.
Advanced knowledge of U.S. GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
At least 10 years of experience in expense control, with a minimum of 3 years in a management or supervisory role.
Base Salary - $100,000-$130,000
