Job Description Summary

Provide support to the overall Strategy, Growth & Innovation organization including managing enterprise strategy process, performing analytics in support of growth strategy formulation and portfolio management for GEV, collaborating cross-business and cross-functions in the strategy development, and harnessing business intelligence to drive growth for GE Vernova.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Perform mega trends analysis in combination with deep market research into relevant sectors to identify potential growth drivers.
  • Stay on top of regulatory environment in the global markets where GEV operates, synthesize competitive landscape and customer moves, channel relevant market intelligence to the organization.
  • Participate in scenario development, analysis and benchmarking internal scenario with external parties to drive higher quality, critical thinking.
  • Participate in building the analytical framework / model to facilitate portfolio analysis and portfolio management plan in collaboration with the Business Development team.
  • Develop market segmentation and value chain models, financial models, to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Distill strategic insights from rigorous data backed analysis to identify and prioritize organic and inorganic business opportunities to expand into adjacencies , enter new markets / products and / or complement existing offerings
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of standard work for strategy process for the GE Vernova operating mechanism and links with Segments and Business Units for overall long term strategy process.
  • Contribute to the development of materials for senior leadership in preparation for board meetings and ELT meetings.

Expected Areas of Competence (i.e., knowledge, skills and abilities)

  • Strong analytical and modeling skills, combined with preparation for senior management presentations.
  • Ability to synthesize large data sets to senior management presentation materials and to draw insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Strong capability in market research, portfolio analysis and financial modeling.
  • Flexibility to handle a wide range of tasks in a lean corporate strategy team.
  • Creative thinker to bring critical thinking to the strategy team.
  • Exceptional teaming & collaboration both internally & externally.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent technical skills including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint skills in visualizations & presentations, Python will be a plus.

Education / Experience / Certifications :

  • Ideal background is 3-5 years of work experience in management consulting, equity research, investment banking or corporate development.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business or engineering / science, MBA preferred.

The base pay range for this position is $112,400 - $165,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set.

This position is also eligible for a 15% performance bonus. This posting is expected to remain open until at least August 30, 2024.
