ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care Level III for a travel nursing job in Houston, Texas.

RN Position Job Notes :

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity : RN - NICU

Job Details :

Work in 146-bed NICU with Level 2, 3, and 4 capabilities (64 Level 3&4 beds, 82 Level 2 beds)

Patient ratios vary by acuity : 1 : 1, 1 : 2, 1 : 3, or 1 : 4

Day shift includes 2 charge nurses, variable nursing staff based on census and acuity, clerk, and nurse tech in Level 2

Night shift staffing same as day shift

Minimum 4 weekend shifts and 2 Monday / Friday shifts per 4-week schedule required

Holiday coverage per unit guidelines

Two years of NICU experience required

Must have skills in infant assessment, IV management, and respiratory support management

Level 4 NICU experience and HCA experience preferred

Required certifications : NRP and BLS

Float to all NICU areas, General Nursery, and Pediatrics with infant assignments

Work with all NICU equipment and procedures including LP, central line placement, circumcision, and eye exams

Use Meditech and CPN electronic medical record systems

Dress code requires royal blue scrubs

Must maintain bare below elbows policy including naked nails

Strong communication skills and focus on parent satisfaction and patient safety required
