Shift Details : Day, 12 hour shifts
Weekend Requirement : Every Third Weekend

The Registered Nurse provides individualized care primarily for medical and telemetry patients with a co-occurring Substance Use Disorder (SUD).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Provide safe and comprehensive care to patient at various points in recovery
- Act as patient advocate
- Administer medications as ordered
- Monitor patient condition and provide appropriate interventions when necessary
- Contribute to building and maintaining a team oriented environment
- Encourage patient success and help to foster an environment of recovery
- Help facilitate safe discharge plans including aftercare when appropriate
- Effectively delegate to and supervise support staff
- Perform other duties as required

Minimum Qualifications :
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Current and unrestricted license in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Connecticut or the ability to obtain.
- Possess the knowledge and skills necessary to assess health needs of patients and to perform nursing care in a safe, caring manner
Preferred Qualifications :
- One year of acute care nursing experience
- BSN or ADN / ASN and actively enrolled in a BSN program
- Experience in substance abuse
- Epic experience
