We have a current opening for aWelder 3. This position is for the day shift and will be located atour facility in Redmond WA.

This shifts schedule is 4 days per week10 hours per day. Your schedule will be Monday through Thursday5 : 30am to 4 : 00pm (flexible).

The majority of the work for thisposition will be spent GTA welding rocket components and assemblieshowever it will also occasionally support welding of tooling andtest equipment.

In addition to GTA welding some orbital welding andresistance spot welding will be required. The welder is responsiblefor performing setups following written instructions as well asensure the final weld meets internal and customer specificationrequirements as defined in the work instructions.

In our Redmond WA site (Seattlearea) we fabricate assemble and test chemical and electricthrusters as well as small scale propulsion systems.

Our electricpropulsion systems enable a wide variety of missions from theexploration of our solar system to global communication and thesurveillance of severe weather and wildfires.

EssentialFunctions

• Perform welding in accordancewith detailed manufacturing instructions
• Read / follow work instructionsweld schedules andspecifications
• Perform setup work including heatsinks weld fixtures purge linesetc
• Manual GTAwelding
• Orbitalwelding
• Resistance spotwelding
• Perform visual inspection onwelds to ensure compliance including some limited dimensionalinspection

Requirements

Requires a High SchoolDiploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevantexperience or 2 years postSecondary / Associates Degree with aminimum of 2 years of prior relatedexperience.

Experience(Required) :

• 1 years with G.T.A.W.experience with stainless steel titanium Inconel and / orsteel
• Experience controlling welddistortion and shrinkage
• Proficient with proper and safeusage of welding grinding equipment andPPE
• Ability to execute to writteninstructions
• Familiarity with interpretingengineering drawings / blue prints (dimensions weld symbolsetc)

Experience(Preferred) :

• Current or priorcertification to AWS D17.1
• Proficiency welding small or thincomponents .030 thick or less
• Welding complex assemblies withlimited access
• Automatic or orbitalwelding
• Resistance spotwelding
• Proficiency using precisioncalibrated tools (calipers micrometers height gauge torque wrenchetc)
