Responsibilities
A facility in north-central California with an opening for a Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant Medical Director to join their team!
Opening Highlights : Setting : Outpatient
Setting : Outpatient
Schedule : Monday-Friday from 8a-5p (36 hours clinical, 4 hours for admin)
Call : 2 weeks of call per year by phone only
Patient Population : All ages seen, open to any preference
Daily Volume : 15 patients
Working with full-office support staff
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
Requires 3+ years of experience in clinical / leadership

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
National Institutes of Health (NIH)
Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
Active unencumbered Nurse Practitioner Washington state license
Graduate from a fully accredited Nurse Practitioner program
One year of work experience as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
One year of Athena Health experience
Board Certified

Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
Effective interpersonal / communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
