Unit : 22-bed Med / Surg unit

Employment Type : Travel LPN (Locum Tenens)

Assignment Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 10 / 27 / 2025 – End : 1 / 26 / 2026)

Shift : 12-hour nights (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM)

Hours per Week : 36

Weekend / Holiday : Every other weekend & holiday rotation required

Float Requirement : May float across all campuses

Qualifications – Med / Surg LPN Jobs

Active Iowa Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license

BLS certification (AHA)

Minimum 1 year of recent Med / Surg experience in a hospital or medical center

Previous travel nursing assignment completed within the last 12 months (no first-time travelers)

Ability to work every other weekend and participate in holiday rotation

Willingness to float to other campuses as needed

Strong communication and teamwork skills

LPN Responsibilities – Des Moines Healthcare Jobs

Provide safe, compassionate, and effective nursing care to patients on a general Med / Surg unit

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to manage patient care using the nursing process

Administer medications and monitor patient responses, including Heparin drips

Accurately document patient care in EPIC EMR

Float to other units / campuses as required

Maintain compliance with facility policies and procedures

Wear navy blue scrubs as required by unit policy
