Company Overview :

Ajax Management Group Inc is a dynamic and growing residential real estate development, construction, and property management company based in Trenton, NJ.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Property Accountant to join our team. This role will work closely with the Controller, managing a portfolio of development properties and supporting various aspects of our operations.

Key Responsibilities :

• Maintain and organize books and records for corporate and development projects.
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations for corporate and development accounts.
• Manage vendor relationships, process invoices, and handle accounts payable.
• Review, enter, and ensure timely payment of invoices, including corporate card management.
• Assist in preparing monthly construction loan draws.
• Ensure month-end processes are completed accurately and on time.
• Support the Controller in preparing monthly and annual financial statements, including 1099s.
• Handle miscellaneous special projects as assigned by the Controller.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in the Real Estate and / or Construction industry.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, math, and reasoning skills.

Preferred Experience :

• Experience in Real Estate Property Management or Construction & Development accounting.
• Familiarity with Yardi or comparable property management software.

Salary and Benefits :

• Full-time, salaried position with a range of $52,000 - $55,000, commensurate with experience.
