The Opportunity

As the Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor, you will oversee and support the maintenance team to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable production operations. This role supervises and trains mechanics, implements and monitors the preventative maintenance program, and coordinates with production leaders to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. You'll manage parts inventory, troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues, enforce safety standards, and maintain a clean, organized shop environment. Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, you'll contribute to efficiency, compliance, and continuous improvement across maintenance activities.

What You'll Do

• Supervise and delegate maintenance projects to mechanics to support production.
• Implement and monitor the Preventative Maintenance (PM) program and train subordinates on proper PM procedures.
• Track parts inventory and maintenance supplies; coordinate with ordering to avoid shortages.
• Train other mechanics and assist as needed to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
• Coordinate with the Manufacturing Manager and Production Supervisors to determine which production lines or projects are needed to support production activities.
• Keep the Maintenance Shop clean and organized; train staff on safety hazards related to machines, welding, cutting, drilling, milling, and other activities.
• Assist workers in troubleshooting malfunctions to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
• Direct mechanics on efficient dismantling and reassembly of equipment.
• Estimate time required to troubleshoot, repair, and set up machines to maximize productivity.
• Enforce safety rules and report unsafe acts as required by policy.
• Recommend improvements in equipment performance or tooling to maximize quality and minimize downtime.
• Resolve work problems related to employee issues or process challenges; follow company policies.

The Perks

A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $100,000 - $110,000. The compensation offered may vary depending on geographic region, knowledge, skills, and / or education.
