- LDRP RN with a contract length of 13 weeks at CHI St Alexius Health Bismarck Medical Center.
- Must have 3 years of experience in L&D.
- Common diagnoses / Types of patients include Obstetric, L&D, antepartum, triage, postpartum MgSo4, pre E Pregnancy.
- Additional Notes : High patient satisfaction in department.
Job Requirements

- Experience with BLS, NRP certification required.
- RN should be ok with first-time travelers and ready to jump right in.
Schedule Information
- Shifts & Scheduling are rotational 7a-7p, 7p-7a, done 6 weeks in advance, cognizant of sleep schedules.
- Every third weekend is required.
- Must work holidays as needed.
- Optional overtime opportunities may be available.

of L&D Beds : 7 beds on the unit.
of OR Suites on the unit for C-Sections : 1 C-Section dedicated OR, 2 GYN surgical OR.
of Triage beds : 3 bay triage (avg 17 patients / month).
of Postpartum beds : 12.
of Births per day? Month? Year? Annually 643.
- Do you follow AWHONN guidelines for ratios? : 1 : 1-2.
- EFM System : Obix.
- Commonly seen other medications : procardia, labetalol push, TXA- hemorrhage, methergine, hemabate, cytotec, cervidil.
- Shift Details : Charge nurse - will take an assignment, 1 OB scrub tech scheduled M-F on Days.
- OB / Neonatologist in house 24 / 7 : OB On call 24 / 7, Neo on call 24 / 7 NNP here overnight.
- Anesthesia in house 24 / 7 : In house 24 / 7.
- RT Equipment : supplemental oxygen PRN.
- Are there Tele / Monitor Techs on this unit : Remote tele capable unit.
- Scrub Color / Dress code : surgical scrubs provided.
- How many shifts of unit / department specific orientation : 2- 12 hour shifts on the unit.
Additional Details
- Department requires BLS, NRP certifications.
- RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.
