Family Support & Parenting Time Specialist

LNR Services is currently hiring Family Support & Parenting Time Specialists —a unique hybrid role that blends two complementary positions : Parenting Time Specialist and Family Support Service Specialist .

This position is ideal for someone passionate about empowering families, strengthening parent-child relationships, and helping youth thrive. These roles work hand-in-hand to provide families with consistent, compassionate, and structured support aimed at reunification and long-term stability.

Flexible scheduling available (full-time or part-time), with services provided on weekdays, evenings, and weekends. Open availability is preferred.

Position Overview

As a Parenting Time Specialist, you'll supervise and support family visits to promote healthy parent-child interaction in a safe, structured environment. As a Family Support Specialist, you’ll work directly with families to assess needs, offer coaching, and connect them to resources that foster growth and self-sufficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Parenting Time / Supervised Visitation :

  • Coordinate and supervise scheduled visits, ensuring safe and positive interactions.
  • Provide transportation for children to and from visits as needed (valid driver’s license and auto insurance required).
  • Observe and document visit activities, conversations, and behaviors.
  • Maintain professionalism, neutrality, and confidentiality at all times.
  • Be punctual and reliable for all visits and related transportation.
  • Attend and contribute to family team meetings.

Family Support Services :

  • Conduct assessments to identify family strengths, needs, and safety concerns.
  • Develop and implement customized family support plans.
  • Provide in-person support within 72 hours of referral when needed.
  • Offer parenting education, role modeling, and coaching to enhance parenting capacity.
  • Intervene in crisis situations and assist with safety planning.
  • Collaborate with case managers and community professionals.
  • Advocate for families and help connect them to necessary resources and services.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation and progress tracking.
  • Qualifications

    Education :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field preferred.
  • High School Diploma / GED REQUIRED!
  • Skills and Abilities :

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to handle crisis situations calmly and effectively.
  • Knowledge of community resources and services.
