Mechanical Engineer, Senior

Key Role :

Applies engineering physics, engineering mathematics and materials science principles to support the design, analysis, manufacture or maintenance of mechanical systems.

Applies advanced consulting skills, extensive technical expertise, and full industry knowledge. Develops innovative solutions to complex problems.

Works without considerable direction. Mentors and may supervise team members.

Basic Qualifications :

• Experience designing complex mechanical systems
• Experience with engineering analysis, such as Finite Element Analysis, Computational Fluid Dynamics, or Thermal Analysis
• Knowledge of 3D CAD modeling and 2D drawing development using SolidWorks
• Knowledge of ASME Y14 engineering drawing standards
• Ability to work as a key member of an integrated, multidisciplinary team to solve complex problems
• Ability to lead and mentor younger engineers
• Secret clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering

Additional Qualifications :

• Experience designing systems for US Army rotorcraft, missile systems, or ground vehicles
• Experience with Army Aviation airworthiness standards
• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline

Clearance :

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information;

Secret clearance is required

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.

The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
