POSITION SUMMARY
The Licensed Practical Nurse / Vocational Nurse (LPN) is responsible for providing skilled nursing care under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN).
They perform selected skilled actions in the provision of curative, rehabilitative, palliative, or preventative nursing care.
They are responsible and accountable for making decisions that are based on the individual’s nursing experience and educational preparation.
QUALIFICATIONS
Current State LPN or LVN License
Graduate of an accredited practical nurse or vocational nursing program.
Has one (1) year of nursing experience. Community / home health or medical / surgical experience is preferred.
Possess and maintain valid BLS certification.
Complies with accepted professional standards and practice.
Demonstrates good verbal and written communication, and organization skills.
Licensed driver with an automobile that is in good working order and insured per the organization's requirements.
