Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Outside Sales Representative to join our dynamic sales team at USM. In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with clients, generating new business, and achieving sales targets through direct sales efforts in the field.

Title : Outside Sales Representative

Responsibilities

  • Identify and prospect potential clients through networking, cold calling, and attending industry events.
  • Conduct in-person meetings and presentations to understand client needs and offer appropriate solutions.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to encourage repeat business and referrals.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales proposals and quotes tailored to client requirements.
  • Negotiate terms and close sales effectively while ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Track and report on sales activities, pipeline, and results using CRM software.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing and customer service, to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and objectives set by management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 2-4 years of experience in outside sales or a similar role; experience in manufacturing is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients.
  • Excellent negotiation and closing skills.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • Ability to travel within designated territory as required.
  • Must be proficient in a CRM software (eg. Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
