POSITION SUMMARY :
The Project and Process Senior Manager is responsible for managing projects throughout the organization and leading the organization’s process documentation.
The Project and Process Senior Manager trains process owners on process improvement methodologies. This role collaborates with process owners throughout the Houston Food Bank.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :
- Responsible for all aspects of the project lifecycle : planning, scope definition, design, execution, and delivery.
- Manages the process of ensuring organizational processes are documented and current, including process life cycles, workflows, associated systems, and process owners.
- Works with process owners and other stakeholders to identify process improvement opportunities by analyzing current processes and making recommendations for change.
- Trains process owners with process maps and diagrams, root cause analysis to identify underlying issues causing process problems, and process documentation.
- Collaborates with process owners on the design and implementation of process improvements, including change management.
- Develops process metrics and KPIs to track and measure process documentation.
- Implements and manages process audit programs to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.
- Keeps abreast of the latest process improvement methodologies and tools.
- Coordinates the work activities for multiple functions to ensure satisfying delivery.
- Tracks progress against milestones, budgetary guidelines, or other performance indicators, and prepares reports for senior management.
- Creates departmental policy and process documentation and training materials for manual and software solutions.
- Provides support to other team members with relevant tasks and contributes to problem resolution on different projects.
- Attends relevant meetings, adheres to deadlines, and participates as a vital member to collectively advance organizational objectives.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES :
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Education / Experience :
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in business administration, project management, or closely related field
- Project Manager Professional (PMP) Certification required
- 5 years of previous process improvement and project management experience
- Proven track record of leading successful process improvement initiatives and programs
- Solid understanding of business process principles
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations :
Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and insurance.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :

TRAVEL REQUIRED :
Travel is required for this position (up to 10% of the time and on a domestic basis within our 18-county service area).
This role supports hours of operations at the Houston Food Bank facilities, as necessary, and may require flexibility (e.
g., times of disaster, community events, company events).
Is legally able to work in the United States.
