A Day in the Life of a Dental Assistant at Lakeshore Dental Specialists :

On any given day you can expect to encounter the following :

• Arriving 15-30 minutes before start time to be ready to go.
• Working with a driven team of other fun loving, compassionate, highly skilled professionals.
• Managing the care of patients who are driven to care for their oral health
• We have specialist endodontists, periodontists, and oral surgeons at our office so you would grow yourself - and your resume - tremendously and be able to work with several of our docs!
• Working in an office that is family oriented.
• Treating every patient like they are your friend and / or family
• Excitedly seeing a high volume of patients everyday and working with more than one doctor.
• Create a comfortable and welcoming clinical environment for new and returning patients
• Performing procedures using the latest technology (including a digital workflow).
• Helping our docs educate and align patient needs with patient wants resulting in appropriate treatment acceptance
• Consistently supporting Doctor-led treatment recommendations for patients
• Helping our hygiene team out with x-rays, periodontal charting, really anything they need! We function as one team. That means jumping in anywhere that could use a helping hand!
• Completing opening and closing duties as team

Office Hours

• Monday : 8 am - 6 pm
• Tuesday : 8 am - 5 pm
• Wednesday : 8 am - 5 pm
• Thursday : 8 am - 6 pm
• Friday : 8am - 2pm
• Select Saturdays : 8am -2pm

Preferred Skills

• X-Ray Certified
• CPR Certified
• Computer savvy
• Well-organized
• Excellent communication skills with the team and with patients
• CDA (not required but preferred)
• RDA (not required but preferred)
