Deposit Operations Specialist I (Roslindale)
TCB (The Cooperative Bank) has a full-time opportunity for a Deposit Operations Specialist I at our corporate headquarters in the heart of Roslindale Village! This position is responsible for ensuring efficient, accurate, and compliant processing of various back-office deposit functions, including quality control of operational reports, handing and processing return mail, processing incoming payments, addressing research, and performing accounting verifications.
This role is also responsible for learning bank operations functions to assist with department needs and customer requests.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reviews and maintains a variety of operational reports for quality assurance and compliance with TCB’s policies and procedures.
- Creates CIF profile flags to track all returned mail and document all progress toward resolution. Places lockout flags on accounts, blocks debit cards, and disables online banking access as appropriate.
- Process bank-by-mail transactions, including deposits, loan payments, and safe deposit box payments. Ensures that all transactions processed comply with TCB’s policies and procedures.
Balances all work to system totals and resolves any variances.
Performs other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
- Six months to (2) two years of similar or related experience, including time spent in preparatory positions.
- High school degree or GED required
- Significant level of trust and diplomacy is required
- Strong communication and customer service skills, along with maintaining confidentiality.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- $27.81 $34.77 an hour depending on experience
