NURSE ASSOCIATES (PER DIEM) MIRACOSTA COLLEGE

ASSIGNMENTS AVAILABLE : Per diem nursing assignments in the Health Services Department at MiraCosta College, starting with training during summer 2019, if possible.

COMPENSATION : Per diem paid at $32.56 per hour (range 25) (will increase to $33.13 effective July 1, 2019).
- BASIC FUNCTION : Under direction, provide nursing care and health services including testing, nursing assessment and first aid to students and staff;
- disseminate health services information and provide specialized assistance and counseling regarding individual health needs;
maintain a variety of health records; and perform related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
1. Graduation from an accredited (recognized by either the U.S. Department of Education or the Council on Postsecondary Accreditation) four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree in nursing, public health or a related field.
2. One year (either full time or the equivalent to full time) of related work experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
3. Current California Registered Nurse license.
4. CPR / AED card for healthcare providers. Course must meet American Heart Association or American Red Cross guidelines.
5. Valid California driver license.
