We're currently seeking a Field Service Manager for a leading custom machinery manufacturing in Elk Grove Village, IL. As a Field Service Manager, you'll play a vital role in leading the field service operations and providing exceptional customer support, spending majority of their time troubleshooting machine issues with clients over the phone and through video calls.
- Pay : $38 / hr to $45 / hr
- Travel : 10% for occasional complex installations.

Qualifications :
- 6+ years of related work experience within field service, as a field service technician / mechanic / engineer or service technician / mechanic / engineer.
- 1+ years of experience in field service management or supervisory, as a field service manager or service manager would be a PLUS!
- Strong troubleshooting skills, ability to resolve mechanical and electrical issues remotely over the phone or by video call.
- Hands-on experience with machine building or installations is a PLUS!
- Ability to manage and support a small field service team.
- Proficiency with video call platforms for remote troubleshooting.
- Willingness to travel occasionally (10%) for complex installations.
Responsibilities :
- Troubleshoot and resolve machine issues for clients via phone and video calls.
- Manage and lead a small team of field service technicians.
- Provide remote technical support for machine installations and repairs.
- Assist the shop team with equipment assembly and troubleshooting as needed.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing technical concerns promptly.
- Maintain accurate service records and provide feedback to improve product design and service efficiency.
- Travel for complicated machine installations (approximately 10% travel).
