Structures Staff Engineer (Bridge)

Dewberry is seeking a Structures Staff Engineer (Bridge) interested in developing their career to join our structures department in Rancho Cordova, CA .

The successful candidate will be part of a team designing simple and complex bridges (primarily of concrete and steel construction) and a variety of transportation-related structures (retaining walls, culverts, sign structures, and other miscellaneous structures).

The candidate will assist in the development of Plans, Specifications, and Estimate (PS&E) packages, field inspections, and performing construction design support services.

Required Skills & Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an accredited 4-year engineering college.
• Master's degree is preferred.
• Possession of an EIT certificate is required (PE is preferred).
• 2+ years of experience in bridge and retaining wall projects.
• Experience designing transportation-related structures projects to Caltrans and local agency standards.
• Familiarity with AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications with Caltrans Amendments.
• Preference for knowledge of CTBridge, CSiBridge, VBent, CTAbut, LPile, and / or similar analysis programs.
• Proficiency using CADD (AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred).
• Proficient in MS Office (WORD and EXCEL).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly motivated and detail-oriented with a desire to deliver the highest quality projects to our clients.

The projected range for this position is $82,000 - $110,000 annually. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly.

Must have a valid driver's license, good driving record and ability to pass a driving record background check.
