Summary :
The competent Nurse, in the same or similar clinicalsetting, practices independently and demonstrates an awareness ofall relevant aspects of a situation.
Provides routine and complexcare, with the ability to on long-range goals or plans. Continuesto develop the ability to cope with and manage contingencies ofclinical nursing.
Makes appropriate assignments and delegates toother care providers as a means to help manage the clinicalsituation.
Responsibilities :
- Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUSCompetencies : Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader ofLeaders.
- Consistent with the ANA Scope and Standardsof Practice, provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process,including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention andevaluation for assigned patients.
- Addressesincreasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and socialneeds of patient and families in accordance with their level ofpractice.
- Using the appropriate protocol, administersmedications and treatments; monitors for side-effects andeffectiveness of the treatment prescribed.
- Documentspatient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.
- Assess learning needs and provides education to patients, familymembers and / or care givers; identify issues and resources.
