Job Summary :
The University of Colorado Denver, Department of Radiation Oncology is seeking a full time Advanced Practice Provider to work within the University of Colorado Health System at the Anschutz Medical Campus and Highlands Ranch Hospital.
The position is expected to assist with the evaluation and management of patients with cancer and certain benign neoplasms, including breast, prostate and general radiation oncology clinical responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities :
- Care for patients with variety of cancer types.
- New patient consultation in collaboration with the attending physician.
- Return patient visits for disease surveillance, survivorship and post radiation evaluation.
- Care coordination, including imaging studies and aspects of radiation planning.
- Management of inpatients with acute issues.
- Patient education about the process of radiation care and side effects.
- Management of side effects related to treatment.
- Assessment of nutritional, psychosocial and palliative needs.
- Assisting with patient care if enrolled in clinical trials.
- Participation in regularly scheduled peer review conferences and possibly multi-disciplinary clinics.
- Potential participation in procedures after relevant training.
Work Location : This role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, CO.
