Services are performed in clients home and not a traditional clinic setting. In home offers a variety of advantages for both the client and employees.

About the role :

A board-certified behavior analyst (BCBA) is a health care practitioner certified in applied behavior analysis (ABA) who strives to influence people"s behaviors.

Many BCBAs specialize in areas like autism, developmental disabilities or mental health issues. BCBA"s play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and supervising ABA therapy programs.

What is Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy?

ABA therapy applies our understanding of how behavior works to real situations. The goal is to increase behaviors that are helpful and decrease behaviors that are harmful or affect learning.

Applied Behavior Analysis involves many techniques for understanding and changing behavior. ABA is a flexible treatment :

Can be adapted to meet the needs of each unique person

Provided in many different locations at home, at school, and in the community

Teaches skills that are useful in everyday life

Can involve one-to-one teaching or group instruction

What you"ll do :

Developing individual plans to correct, maintain, or improve certain behaviors

Supervise Registered Behavior Technicians

Observe clients and assess their behavior

Meet with families, teachers, or doctors to discuss the clients treatment and progress and recommend ways to address behavioral issues

Create simulated conditions where you will observe the behavior of each client

Formulate an appropriate treatment plan that is sensitive to clients' cognitive, social, emotional, and sensory needs

Administer treatment and tailor interventions as needed

Operate within time, financial, and other resource constraints

Remain abreast of changes in research on evidence-based practices

Advocate for the inclusion of individuals with disorders and disabilities within society

Qualifications :

• Master"s Degree
• A Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification / license
• CPR / BLS Certification
• 1 year experience in a BCBA role (preferred)
• Strong knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and techniques
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Familiarity with data collection methods and ability to analyze data to inform treatment decisions
• Management experience
• Good communication skills

The pay range for this role is :

80,000 - 90,000 USD per year(Aurora)
