A postdoctoral position is available at the Badve / Gokmen-Polar lab in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Winship Institute Emory University, Atlanta, GA to study the molecular mechanisms of drug resistance in breast cancer.

We are an interdisciplinary research group that seeks to translate the findings from the lab to the bench side and vice versa in breast cancer.

We focus on identification and characterization of novel druggable targets and development of novel treatment strategies in breast cancer.

Highly motivated individuals with a . and experience in molecular biology, biological sciences or pharmacology are encouraged to apply.

The project is multidisciplinary, using a variety of techniques and approaches including molecular biology techniques, cellular imaging and genomics.

A successful candidate will contribute to all aspects of the project, including experimental design, analysis, data interpretation, preparing manuscripts, and reports.

Excellent scientific writing ability, strong oral communication skills and the ability to work well in a multidisciplinary, diverse, and collaborative research environment are required.

Positions are temporary appointments as a research trainee. The initial appointment is for one year, renewal expected if progress is satisfactory and funds are available.

Appointments cannot exceed five years.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : A doctoral degree or equivalent (., ., ScD., ., DDS etc) in an appropriate field. Excellent scientific writing ability and strong oral communication skills.

The ability to work effectively and collegially with colleagues. Additional qualifications as specified by the Principal Investigator.
