Position Title : 1 : 1 Nurse for Elementary School Student
Location : Lynnwood, WA
Employment Type : Full-Time
Position Summary : We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to provide one-on-one nursing care for an elementary school student in Lynnwood, WA.
The ideal candidate will have experience with tracheostomy (trach) and jejunostomy tube (J-tube) care and be comfortable accompanying the student on the school bus to and from school.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide specialized nursing care, including trach and J-tube management, to ensure the student's safety and well-being.
- Accompany the student on the school bus to and from school, ensuring safe transportation.
- Monitor and manage the student's health status throughout the school day.
- Administer medications and perform necessary medical procedures as required.
- Collaborate with school staff, healthcare providers, and the student's family to create and maintain a comprehensive care plan.
- Document the student's health status and any interventions performed accurately and promptly.
- Respond to any medical emergencies promptly and effectively.
- Ensure the student's medical equipment is properly maintained and functioning.
Qualifications :
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Washington.
- Experience with tracheostomy and J-tube care is required.
- Pediatric nursing experience is preferred.
- Ability to ride the school bus with the student.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to providing high-quality care.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions in the best interest of the student.
