This role, along with other newly created positions, provides additional Registered Nurses at the bedside, giving you more quality time with your patients.

The Registered Nurse directs and coordinates all nursing care for patients based on established clinical nursing practice standards and collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes.

As an integral member of our Nursing Team, the successful RN candidate will be focused on patient advocacy and delivering the highest quality of care to all patients.

Working in a fast-paced environment that demands excellence every day, you will provide exceptional pre- and post-operative nursing care to our patients and their families in the inpatient care setting.

This position is part of the Massachusetts Nurses Association Bargaining Unit at Cooley Dickinson Hospital. This position reports to the Nurse Manager / Director and operates within established organizational and departmental policies and procedures.

Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing required; BSN preferred - Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a Registered Nurse (RN) required - BLS certification required - Previous inpatient surgical nursing strongly preferred - EPIC knowledge preferred - Strong patient centered approach with emphasis on providing exemplary customer service required - Demonstrated excellent technical, interpersonal, organizational, oral, and written communication skills required - Meticulous attention to detail required - Self-motivated and proactive;

a team player who knows how to think critically in a fast-paced, challenging environment - Active participation in process improvement and seeking solutions to problems - Additional unit-specific education and experience requirements are outlined in the Addendum for each unit.
