Duties & Responsibilities :
- Provide security to ensure the safety of participants and staff during work shifts.
- Conduct regular Interior and Exterior Security Perimeter Checks, including thorough vehicle inspections.
- Stays current with training programs, ensuring proficiency in areas such as Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) and CPR / First Aid.
- Assists in updating Emergency Plans and actively participates in Emergency Drills.
- Completes Daily Staff Communications, showcasing your contributions during each workday.
- Carries a charged walkie-talkie at all times, staying connected to the team.
- Actively contributes to the safety and security of the YRS Site during protests.
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in security or a related field.
- A valid driver's license is encouraged but not required.
- Permanent Employee Registration Card (PERC) through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Responsibility (IDFPR).
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities (K / S / A) :
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong networking and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
- Problem-solving skills in situations with limited standardization.
