Position : Physical Therapist Assistant
Location : Lauderhill, FL
Salary : $28-$33 per hour, based on experience
Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with Physical Therapists to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Assist patients with therapeutic exercises and activities to improve mobility and relieve pain.
- Monitor and document patient progress during therapy sessions.
- Educate patients and their families on at-home exercises and self-care techniques.
- Utilize medical terminology and knowledge of various treatment modalities to support patient care.
- Conduct screenings of residents as scheduled for referral to Physical Therapist.
- Provide objective data to Physical Therapists as allowed by the scope of practice.
- Administer physical therapy treatment to residents as indicated in the plan of care.
- Actively engage and contribute to the success of the rehab department, interdisciplinary team (IDT), and overall facility success.
Requirements :
- Associate of Science in Physical Therapy Assisting from an accredited program.
- Current Florida PTA License.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficient with computer and technology use.
- Previous experience preferred but new graduates are welcome to apply.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and patient care practices.
- Strong understanding of physical therapy techniques and modalities.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate well with patients.
