Job Title : Production Supervisor
Job Description
You will oversee a team of 10-20 associates including setups, production associates, and contingent workforce. Reporting to a shift supervisor, you will manage 13-27+ machines and be responsible for safety, quality, delivery, and reporting of production and scrap.
Responsibilities
- Oversee safety, quality, delivery, and reporting of production and scrap.
- Address and take action on any issues, with a 'see something, do something' philosophy.
- Manage different departments such as paint, molding, and stamping.
- Prioritize work and determine the order of parts to run.
- Be on the floor 100% of the time, making adjustments to machinery and production as needed.
- Communicate effectively with different departments including maintenance, production, engineering, and quality.
- Document and write daily reports using computer software such as Excel.
- Ensure proper communication between shifts and attend shift handoff meetings.
- Perform hands-on work as needed, including dumping scrap, moving parts, and operating machines.
- Oversee and train new employees and ensure the team meets productivity targets.
- Utilize production tracking software and Microsoft Office.
- Make improvements and use root cause analysis.
- Enforce the use of PPE appropriately.
- Fill in as needed if short-staffed, which may include working on the line or pulling parts.
- Address any employee or associate issues and ensure adherence to FIFO process.
Essential Skills
- At least 2 years of leadership experience.
- Experience with making adjustments and improving processes.
- Willingness to be hands-on and work 100% at the line.
- Basic computer skills and experience entering data and utilizing email.
- Ability to address and take action on issues in the moment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in molding or stamping.
- Automotive manufacturing experience.

Work Environment
Shifts available are 2nd (2 : 20 pm - 11 : 10 pm) and 3rd (10 : 20 pm - 7 : 10 am), working about 42.5 hours per week. Training will occur on days for a few months.
The work environment is loud, with an odor of rubber and older machinery. It is a well-lit, typical manufacturing setting in the automotive industry, producing various parts including fuel hoses, air conditioning hoses, and suspension parts.
