SUMMARY

Recovery Coordinator for ABC’s Information Security Office. The incumbent performs a wide variety of tasks in the development and implementation of the Department’s disaster recovery function of the Business Continuity Program.

The incumbent acts as a project lead managing and coordinating the testing and training of mission critical Information Technology (IT) systems.

In the event of an emergency, the incumbent is responsible for coordinating and implementing comprehensive Disaster Recovery (DR) plans to ensure ABC's IT applications and infrastructure recovers quickly and supports critical business continuity efficiently in the event of a disaster.

Additionally, the incumbent will work closely with the Statewide Disaster Recovery Service Unit to oversee the design and implementation of redundant networks, and the creation of technology recovery documentation (Technology Recovery Plan).

  • This position requires the incumbent maintain consistent and regular attendance; communicate effectively and professionally (both orally and in writing);
  • develop and maintain knowledge and skills, methodologies, materials, tools and equipment; complete assignments in a timely and efficient manner;

and adhere to all departmental policies and procedures.

Position requires less than 5% travel to district offices.
