We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced full-time Purchasing Specialist to join our team at Western States Lodging & Management in South Jordan, UT.

This position comes with a competitive salary range of $70,000 - $80,000 per year and full-time benefits. The Purchasing Specialist role offers a regular schedule, working Monday to Friday from 8 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM .

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY

The Purchasing Supervisor will be responsible for developing and maintaining a master list of preferred vendors, suppliers, equipment, and systems.

Additionally, they will establish and manage a rebate program with key vendors and suppliers, as well as negotiate the best pricing and terms from suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors.

Here's what you need to become our Purchasing Specialist :

  • 10+ years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably within the hospitality, healthcare, and multi-family living industries
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain vendor relationships
  • Solid understanding of inventory management
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Internal auditing experience or training is a plus!
