Our client, an Atlanta based construction law boutique has an immediate need for an experienced attorney in their Atlanta office.
This is an excellent opportunity to work one-on-one with a wide range of clients in both transactional and litigation matters.
Key Responsibilities :
- Prepare legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
- Conduct legal research on construction law matters, including regulations, case law, and precedents.
- Prepare for all aspects of trial and depositions, including fact development, exhibit preparation, and witness preparation.
- Draft correspondence and communications with clients, opposing counsel, consultants, and court personnel.
- Ensure compliance with deadlines for court filings and discovery requests.
- Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates and gathering information as needed.
- Utilize technology tools to automate and streamline workflow processes.
Qualifications :
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil litigation, preferably in construction law.
- Proficiency with legal software such as Clio, LexisNexis, WestLaw, or similar tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- JD from a US accredited law school.
- Licensed to practice in the state of Georgia.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with e-filing systems and online legal research databases.
