We provide a wide range of medical services and procedures, including comprehensive women's services for the Northwest Las Vegas area. In addition to providing digital mammography, gynecologic care and gynecologic surgery, the Women's Center pays special attention to new moms. During their stay, moms enjoy special menus, massages and afternoon teas. The Women's Center maternity services include labor, delivery and recovery rooms, antepartum and postpartum care, a newborn nursery and a Level III neonatal intensive care unit. • Career opportunities within VHS and UHS Subsidies\n\nJob Description\n\nAssumes shift responsibility and accountability for the planning and provision of direct and indirect nursing care to the patient, family, care partner and appropriate others. Coordinates multi-disciplinary team members, directs and facilitates nursing staff in obtaining safe, optimal health care outcomes. Supports activities that meet the facility vision, mission and goals. Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. Oversees and guides employees that are under his / her supervision. The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing care. Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times.\n\nQualifications\n\nEducation : \nGraduate of an accredited school of Nursing. BSN required.\n\nExperience : \nMinimum of one-year full time or three years part time experience in acute care specialty nursing. One to three years supervisory experience preferred.\n\nTechnical Skills : \nMust be proficient in physical assessment of the cardiovascular patient and fluent in cardiovascular anatomy and physiology. Must be comfortable with 12 lead EKG interpretation and cardiac arrhythmias. Knowledgeable and experienced in stress testing is preferred.\n\nLicense / Certification : \nCurrent RN license in the State of Nevada. Current BLS certification.
