Our client is a leading engineering consulting company looking to add an experienced Project Engineer to their teamResponsibilities : - Cultivate a respectful and inclusive work environment that prioritizes psychological safety for all team members.
- Coordinate and plan engineering activities for projects, serving as a technical expert for complex assignments. In the absence of a project manager, assume ownership of project-related responsibilities.
- Facilitate communication between engineering and other project disciplines, ensuring seamless collaboration for successful project completion.
- Collaborate with the PMO group to maintain adherence to established processes and procedures, while also suggesting enhancements as needed.
- Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, project procedures, and client standards through meticulous documentation review and interdisciplinary coordination.
- Oversee engineering work processes to align with project scope, schedule, and budget objectives.- Proactively identify and address potential threats to project goals, developing and implementing action plans to mitigate risks.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including delivering presentations and addressing grievances as necessary.
- Provide detailed project reports and monitor progress, forecasting and managing potential risks.- Conduct quality control and analysis of project work, reporting findings to stakeholders on a regular basis.
- Perform other duties as assigned.Requirements : - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, with significant experience in an engineering discipline.
- Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) registration is preferred but not required.- Minimum of 10 years of project engineering / project management experience in industrial projects with multidisciplinary exposure.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is an asset.- At least 5 years of experience in a refinery setting.- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and communicate effectively across all levels of an organization.
- Strong team player with a commitment to honesty, integrity, and ethical behavior.- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
