Job Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, monitor, and support the day-to-day operations of all areas in conjunction with the department heads.
- Lead and influence the team by setting a professional example in attitude, business-like appearance, work habits, and quality communication.
- Understand the profit and loss of the facility in order to identify problems, variances, and opportunities.
- Assist the General Manager and Assistant General Manager with the interviewing of applicants.
- Provide support by implementing objectives and goals, offering staff continuous direction, and reviewing staff and process performance.
- Identify and manage staff projects reporting progress to General Manager and / or Assistant General Manager.
- Achieve team results by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, motivating, and appraising job results.
- Simultaneously oversee multiple departments proficiently.
- Practice and retain skills necessary to competently operate each department in the event support or coverage is needed.
- Monitor and respond to staff and guest needs and take appropriate action to correct any problems.
- Ensure that staff maintains a sanitary, organized, and presentable area.
- Conduct and oversee staff pre-shift meetings.
- Promote knowledge of the location’s features and upcoming events.
- Communicate with General Manager and Assistant General Manager on a regular basis to discuss initiatives and concerns.
- Contribute to the weekly meetings with the team leads.
- Communicate inventory and supplies shortages to the management team.
- Coordinate marketing and promotions alongside the General Manager and Assistant General Manager.
- Respond to tasks within the designated time.
- Lead staff orientations, ensuring all have attended an on-site orientation program.
- Aid in the preparation of schedules and learning paths for new hire training and assigning mentors.
- Assist with scheduling employees to cover the department and events.
- Ensure security, functionality, and proper handling of company property.
- Confidently operate the technology at the location including but not limited to POS, A / V, and basic pinsetter operations.
- Obtain an understanding of the POS reports and assist with researching requests from the Home Office.
- Inspect, maintain, and may have to troubleshoot equipment.
- Perform league preparation duties; coordinate lane assignments and monitor applicable practice times.
- Make announcements to guests over the system regarding specials, promotions, etc.
- Communicate with pit crews; operate call buttons, relay information, log calls, and check response time.
- Perform various duties related to cash-handling machines; remove funds, count, and record collection, restock, etc.
- Available to work high volume varying shifts, from weekends to holidays, in addition to extended workdays as the schedule demands.
- Assist with ordering products / supplies, supply pickups (if applicable), and delivery check-in.
- Perform opening and closing duties as required.
- Perform daily and routine indoor and outdoor inspections of the property.
- Conduct a pre / post shift walk through of all departments confirming arrival of scheduled team members, compliance with dress code and intervene when necessary.
