Your Mission :
The Shipping Lead is responsible for getting the right product to the right customer on time and damage free by overseeing the outbound shipping dock in a way that meets Company standards for safety, security, and output.
You are also responsible for the completeness and accuracy of all orders filled by assisting the outbound pickers and billers with any issues they have on their orders.
The primary product lines you’ll oversee include our sturdy medical devices, ranging from canes to wheelchairs, in-home hospital bends and everything in between.
These products are critical to the lives of our customers and you’ll be a part of the team by driving best-in-class metrics in Safety, Quality, and Service.
Main Activities
- Review daily shipment schedule and under directions of Warehouse Supervisor, plan and prioritize daily work schedule to meet customer delivery requirements.
- Alert team members to any special truck loading configuration or customer delivery requirements.
- Check that the correct pallets are being loaded on the right container.
- Processes information for shipments in SAP system
- Help to maintain supplies and equipment (tools, boxes, bags, tape)
- Operates material handling equipment (occasional)
- Organize and schedule daily work processes
- Oversee inspection of exterior packaging of product to determine damage to the device
- Repack individual items to a new box and print new repack labels
- Pull individual items for orders shipping out
- Demonstrate an attitude of support and participation in the environment of continuous improvement
- Maintain clean, orderly and safe of the work area
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Your Physical Demands / Work Environment :
Must possess sight / hearing senses, or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately so that the requirements of this position can be fully met.
Physical activity includes walking, standing, bending, squatting, reaching above shoulders and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Performs activities in a warehouse environment. May be subject to changes in temperature and exposure to dust and noise.
