Sr Product Manager- Technical, Inventory Defects and Reimbursements

The Defect Prevention and Reconciliation (DP&R) organization builds innovative technical products that recognize, reconcile, and prevent defects within Amazon’s fulfillment supply chain.

We are building a future where we capture, analyze, and explain every inventory defect across all stages of the supply chain (i.

e. inbound, distribution, storage, fulfillment, returns). The Inventory Defect Costs (IDC) team, within DP&R, owns the system technology, seller-facing products and tools, and policies in this space.

This includes ownership of policies and the technology that goes into seller contacts, conducting reimbursement as well as developing features that improve the accuracy of our systems and the experience of our selling partners.

As a PMT on the FBA IDC Customer Returns team, you are responsible for improving seller experience and reducing unnecessary seller contacts.

You will own understanding the best ways to efficiently resolve seller contacts and reduce cost by using AI and ML to drive insights and recommendations to sellers to reduce their returns;

improve the tools and work with the science and engineering teams to build reconciliation and defect reductions models. You will own the technical solutions for customer returns cases to Support Operations and also workflow automation within the returns space.

You will partner with engineering teams in designing the feature experiences using advanced technologies and ensure the desired quality of the products are met.

Independent and flexible with strong communication skills, the successful candidate will have a strong customer focus and experience in data analysis and program management.

Keys to success include team leadership experience, a strong motivation to dive deep into root causes and improve processes.

Experience working in a cross-functional capacity as well as a proven track record of delivering operational excellence are important qualifications.

  • Experience bridging technical and business teams to collect and refine requirements, prioritize incoming work requests, and ensure all committed work is delivered on time
  • Experience in technical product management, program management or engineering
  • 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of driving process improvements experience
  • Technical fluency; comfort understanding and discussing technology concepts, schedule tradeoffs and new opportunities with technical team members.
  • SQL and Data Analysis experience.
  • Experience using analytical tools to solve business problems
  • Experience juggling multiple priorities and making things happen in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions
  • Demonstrated proficiency in communicating complex information clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
  • Experience building relationships and working effectively across internal and external organizations
  • Presentation skills and the ability to articulate complex concepts to cross-functional audiences

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100 / year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200 / year in our highest geographic market.

Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and / or other benefits.
