SAFETY MANAGER
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Manager to oversee and enhance our Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs.
This role is pivotal in directing the development, implementation, and continuous refinement of our safety and health initiatives.
As a Safety Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, maintaining a safe working environment, and fostering a culture of safety across all levels of the organization.
Your leadership will drive strategic safety programs, compliance reporting, safety training, and program oversight. The role requires a proactive and analytical approach to problem-solving and a commitment to cultivating an environment where safety policies are actively practiced.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Develops strategic safety programs to align with organizational objectives, including designing critical programs and establishing safety performance objectives.
- Ensures adherence to compliance and reporting requirements, including maintaining safety standards and coordinating with the Corporate Safety Manager on policy implementation.
- Coordinates and assists with accident investigations, ensuring accurate reporting and implementation of corrective measures.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of EHS regulations to provide expert assessments and solutions for both site-specific and corporate needs.
- Facilitates audits and inspections to comply with environmental and safety standards and maintains necessary documentation and reporting.
- Leads and directs safety training programs, ensuring proper training materials are developed and coordination of training sessions.
- Handles contractor and vendor compliance, ensuring all external partners adhere to our safety standards.
- Acts as the main point of contact for the Plant Safety Committee, driving cultural safety projects and oversight of Emergency response and security programs.
- Conducts regular site inspections and audits to ensure enforcement of safety policies and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Minimum Position Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational / Industrial Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in EHS program management within a manufacturing environment.
- Detailed knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant environmental, health, and safety standards.
- Ability to develop, implement, and improve EHS policies and training programs.
- Proven ability to manage compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Advanced certification in an EHS-related discipline.
- Experience in the food industry or similar manufacturing sectors.
- Further education in a relevant field.

- Superior communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective policy dissemination and team engagement.
- Strong analytical skills for evaluating safety data and performance metrics.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a knack for identifying multiple solution paths and optimal outcomes.

- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks efficiently under tight deadlines.
