Ochsner Emergency Room is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and staffed exclusively with board-certified and board-eligible emergency physicians and emergency-trained registered nurses.
The facility is equipped with a full radiology suite, including CT scanner, Digital X-ray, Ultrasound, as well as on-site laboratories certified by the Clinical Laboratory Improvements Amendments (CLIA) and accredited by the Commission on Office Laboratories Accreditation (COLA).
Qualifications
- Required - Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
- Required - Current RN License in the state of practice
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Required - Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
- Required - Current State of Louisiana Registered Nurse License / Compact State License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Certification.
- Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 90 days of hire.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 90 days of hire.
