Job Summary
PACCAR Electronics Engineering department, which serves Kenworth and Peterbilt, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Electronics Supervisor- Product Support.
This position will be based in Kirkland, WA. The successful candidate will coordinate resolution of current product manufacturing and field issues through all departments within the PACCAR Electronics organization.
The ideal candidate will be able lead a team of engineers to work with the manufacturing and field service teams in prioritizing high impact issues and driving them to closure with the responsible team.
Experience with automotive or truck electronic architecture, software, and hardware is required. Understanding of software and hardware development lifecycle is required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
Job Functions / Responsibilities
- Develop and lead a team of electronic hardware and software system engineers to coordinate resolution of current product manufacturing and field issues on PACCAR heavy duty and medium duty trucks.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop engineers that will be responsible for leading current product issues to resolution.
- Develop processes with manufacturing and field service to prioritize issues by impact / severity and priority.
- Align manufacturing and current product issue resolution with established issue resolution processes within the PACCAR Electronics software and hardware development teams.
- Develop & maintain weekly reports of issue resolution with high communication with manufacturing and field service on issue resolution timing and mitigation.
- Lead change management boards and other governance processes to ensure issue resolution progresses in a timely manner with status controlled systematically.
- Work with teams throughout PACCAR to provide a global approach to software and hardware current product issue resolution processes.
- Develop and maintain department and program resource plans and budgets.
- Provide written and verbal updates to PACCAR senior management.
Qualifications & Skills
Experienced candidates are encouraged to apply. Knowledge of and / or experience in heavy truck design, heavy truck components and systemspreferred.
Other qualifications & skills include :
- Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, software engineering, or computer science required.
- 7+ years of design or validation of electronic systems required, especially in the field of structured problem solving and issue prioritization.
- Relevant experience in the automotive or trucking industry preferred
- Manufacturing and service experience desirable. Preference will be given to candidates with software design, multiplexed communications, diagnostics and / or other embedded systems leadership experience.
- Prior supervisory experience preferred.
- Knowledge in the fulllife-cycle engineering development process for embedded systems preferred.
- Significant experience with advanced features in Microsoft Excel, Project, PowerPoint and Tableau preferred.
- Display effective and professional communication skills (verbal and written) including interpersonal skills.
- Able to work in a team environment where multiple active projects require effective coordination of multiple concurrent tasks.
- Up to 10% travel required (both domestic and international).

The salary range for Electronics Supervisor - Product Support is $110,600-$173,000 annually.. Additionally, this role is eligible for the full range of benefit options listed above.
