Minimum 1+ years pharmacy experience required.
RPH on the go is looking for a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at a Specialty Pharmacy in Austin, TX. This role involves preparing and managing prescriptions, interacting with patients and insurance companies, and supporting our pharmacys operations.
Occasional travel to support other Austin-area pharmacy locations may be required.
Duties :
- Prepare medications by counting, pouring, mixing, and packaging pharmaceuticals.
- Label containers and enter prescription details into the Pioneer RX system.
- Verify insurance benefits and manage payment transactions at the Point of Service (POS).
- Interact with patients, case managers, and insurance companies to foster positive relationships.
- Coordinate prescription deliveries and handle routine reporting and correspondence.
- Address and resolve issues proactively, adhering to the companys core values.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Schedule / Shift :
- Monday, Tuesday, Friday : 9 : 00 AM - 5 : 30 PM
- Wednesday, Thursday : 9 : 00 AM - 8 : 30 PM
- Saturday : 9 : 00 AM - 1 : 00 PM
Requirements :
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree or higher in a related health field preferred.
- At least one year of Pharmacy Technician experience.
- Must be registered with the Texas Board of Pharmacy and State Certified as a Pharmacy Technician.
- National Pharmacy Technician certification preferred.
- Proficiency in English required; bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
- Strong MS Office skills and experience with pharmacy software preferred.
- Reliable transportation and a positive, flexible attitude.
