We are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer / Project Manager to join our team in the Stuart, Florida office. This in-office position involves providing project management, Civil 3D site modeling, design, plan preparation, permitting, and engineering during construction services on a diverse range of projects, including coastal, water management, natural systems restoration, agricultural, municipal, solar, and land development.

The role requires occasional field work and travel.

Your Role :

• Lead and manage multiple engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring all project objectives are met within the budget and schedule.
• Develop and utilize Civil 3D models for site development projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with design standards.
• Create detailed engineering designs and plans, including site layouts, grading, drainage, and utilities, using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Prepare and submit permit applications to local, state, and federal agencies, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Provide engineering support during the construction phase, including site visits, inspections, and resolving technical issues.
• Maintain effective communication with clients, understand their needs, and deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
• Provide guidance and direction to junior engineering staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Conduct site visits, field assessments, and meetings as required, ensuring project requirements are met on-site.
• Work with other Tetra Tech offices to leverage expertise and resources for project success.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Florida P.E. (Professional Engineer) license required.
• 8-25+ years of civil engineering experience, with 5 to 10 years in project management.
• Extensive experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with stormwater modeling software (ICPR, HEC-RAS, MODRET) is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and permitting agencies.
• Proven ability to direct and track projects from start to finish, ensuring all project milestones are achieved.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to provide direction and mentorship to junior staff.
• Must be able to work effectively in various environments, including construction sites and client offices.
• A pre-employment drug screen in compliance with federal regulations is required, along with a physical if needed.
• Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record without restrictions.
