Job Summary :
44 Clinical is partnered with a premier Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) specializing in Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs), is seeking an experienced Vice President of Business Development to join our executive team in Massachusetts.
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving business growth, developing strategic partnerships, and expanding our market presence in the pharmaceutical industry.
Key Responsibilities :
Strategic Leadership :
- Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to achieve company growth objectives.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the API manufacturing sector, including partnerships, collaborations, and acquisitions.
- Oversee business development team
Market Expansion :
- Conduct market analysis to identify trends, competitive landscape, and potential clients.
- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective clients and projects.
Client Relations :
- Build and nurture strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
- Act as the primary point of contact for key clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
Sales and Marketing :
- Lead the sales team in developing proposals, negotiating contracts, and closing deals.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create targeted marketing campaigns and promotional materials.
Revenue Growth :
- Set and achieve sales targets and revenue goals.
- Monitor sales performance and adjust strategies to ensure continuous growth and profitability.
Cross-functional Collaboration :
- Work closely with the R&D, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure seamless project execution and delivery.
- Provide market feedback to guide product development and service offerings.
- Reporting and Analysis :
- Prepare regular reports on business development activities, sales performance, and market conditions.
- Utilize CRM and other tools to track progress and generate insights for strategic planning.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Chemistry, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing within the pharmaceutical or CDMO industry.
- In-depth knowledge of API manufacturing and the pharmaceutical development process.
- Proven track record of successfully closing deals and achieving revenue targets.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel as required to meet with clients and attend industry events.
